Meet-The-Expert Thailand, Business Continuity Management (BCM) and IT Disaster Recovery (DR) : Challenges, Opportunities and Best Practices

With new threats and natural disasters disrupting business operations around the world, organisations are beginning to rework their existing BC and IT DR plans or embark on one.

At this seminar, jointly organised by BCM Institute and IBM, participants will be able to learn from the experience of practitioners who will highlight the key success factors as well and the challenges that orangisation faced when developing and implementing BC/DR plans.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Speaker 1: Mr. Patrick G. Corcoran, Global Business Development Executive, Business Continuity & Resiliency Services, IBM Global Technology Services.

Mr Corcoran will share the key success factors for implementing business continuity and IT disaster recovery plans base on his past experience working with different client to develop business continuity solutions.

Mr. Corcoran is the executive responsible for leading IBM teams in the development of integrated business continuity solutions for clients across multiple countries. He also led IBM’s support efforts in the aftermath of the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 and Hurricane Katrina.

Speaker 2: Dr Goh Moh Heng, BCCE, DRCE, President, BCM Institute.

Having work with various organisation to develop and implement their BC/DR plans, Dr Goh will provide a candid view on "What most organisation fails to do?"

Dr Goh Moh Heng primary areas of expertise include Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) and Crisis Management. Over the last twenty years, Dr Goh has helped many organisations, particularly those operating in the Asia Pacific and Middle-East Region to develop and implement BC and DR plans.
