Business Continuity Conference Heavyweights in Information Security Themed Event

KUALA LUMPUR, 5th November 2010 -- The Cyber Security Malaysia Awards, Conference and Exhibition (CSM-ACE) 2010 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre being largest Information and Communications Technology (ICT) security themed event in the country ended recently witnessing a large stream of professionals turning their attention to Business Continuity Planning issues.

 

 Organised by CyberSecurity Malaysia, an agency under the purview of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), the event brought together some of the most influential and innovative minds in business, government and academia including key information security industry players to exchange ideas and technology expertise.

 Among the events supporting partners, BCM Institute specializing in business continuity and disaster recovery receive positive feedback at its booth, having distributed more than 500 copies of BCM Institute's Dictionary of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery throughout the event. Hopeful, BCM Institute president, Dr Goh Moh Heng who also delivered a presentation of contigency and continuity planning expresses his delight "back then, business continuity is only known by financial instituitions that have high sensitivity towards managing business disruptions. Today, we see a crowd from private to public sector regardless, manufactuting, healthcare, investment, developer - they all want to know how BCM can work for them."
