Singapore, 19 November 2010 – The largest business continuity (BC) - Disaster Recovery (DR) online forum to date, boasts an ever swelling number of over 3000 members, 300 over discussions and 50 downloadable files from over 60 countries!

Hosted since by renowned BC-DR institution, BCM Institute, the invitation only forum with chapters in Kuwait, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand & India has been uniting BC and DR peers since 2009- being the leading and fastest growing, active community on the Internet.

“BCM Institute Forum has always been more than just an online forum. It is the voice of the growing community concerning in establishing an awareness on the importance of Business Continuity for the survival of their organisation. The forum has made a collective effort for borderless collaboration of best practises and important lessons learnt to avoid making the same mistake.” said Dr Goh Moh Heng, President of BCM Institute. “We wanted to offer our non-English speaking subscribers an opportunity to discuss BCM issues in their native language but with the current setup, this goal could not be achieved. With the introductory of country chapters, the moderators are able to engage users in discussion their national language and even localised the discussion to their national favour.”

The forum truly stands out among other forums for its quality of subscribers, as individual selected are BC and DR professionals, subject matter experts, chapters or forum moderators. Members include bigwigs and amateurs creating a series of lively discussions threads such as exploring the difference between exercise, testing and drilling; various tabletop exercises as well as announcements on vacant positions available.

“Our forum along with BCMPedia and our Meet-the-Experts (MTE) sessions, serves in my opinion, the Institute’s greater purpose of our social responsibility to the BC-DR fraternity. We are a knowledge-sharing partner and we are glad to see a hive of activity on our forum and MTEs”, added Dr Goh.
