meet_the_logo_logoIn support of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) Flu Pandemic Business Continuity (BC) Programme launched by Minister of State for Trade & Industry and Manpower, Mr Lee Yi Shyan in October 2009, BCM Institute together with SBF and GMH Continuity Architects, will present the seminar on “how-to” develop a flu pandemic BC plan.  This seminar is to provide organizations the hands-on experience and the templates to develop such a plan so that they can become “pandemic prepared.”

dr_goh Speaker 1: Dr Goh Moh Heng, BCCE, DRCE, President, BCM Institute

Dr Goh Moh Heng will introduce the SS540 BCM planning methodology and provide the framework, an overview on the setting up of the project, the risk assessment, the business impact analysis and the recovery strategy in accordance to Ministry of Health's guidance.  Dr Goh will share on the Flu Pandemic BC training requirement funded by CITREP.


lim sek seongSpeaker 2: Mr Lim Sek Seong, BCCE, DRCE Managing Consultant, GMH Continuity Architects

Mr Lim Sek Seong, will share the aggregation of the planning process will be the BC plan during the plan development phase.  Sek Seong will walk through the plan writing process with emphasis on the policies from the human resource, public relations and the critical business units.


roland_teoTopic 3: Mr Roland Teo, Deputy Director, Singapore Business Federation (SBF)

Mr Roland Teo will elaborate on the Flu Pandemic BC Guide – Guidance for Verifiers: 2009 used in the verification process developed by SPRING Singapore with the aid of BCM standard experts based on the principles of SS 540.  He will conclude with the availability of funding to organizations who are interested in being certified.

Expert Speaker:

Dr Goh Moh Heng is the President of BCM Institute. His primary areas of expertise include Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) and Crisis Management. Over the last twenty years, Dr Goh has helped many organizations, particularly those operating in the Asia Pacific and Middle-East Region. Dr Goh is the author of the “Developing Your Pandemic Flu BC plan’” book and he is one of the foremost expert in this area as he has been educating organization on this BC processes as early as 2006.

Mr Lim Sek Seong is the Managing Consultant for GMH.  He has assisted many organizations in its implementation of its Flu Pandemic plans such as Philips, PIDM and ASEAN Secretariat.  Sek Seong is a seasoned professional and had conducted many Pandemic Flu tabletop exercises to government and MNCs through the Asia Pacific region.

Mr Roland Teo is the Deputy Director of the Capacity Building Division in the Singapore Business Federation (SBF). His responsibilities include overseeing the National Business Continuity Programme and the Financial Facilitator Programme at EBIS to help Singapore companies to be ready in terms of business continuity and to facilitate funding. In the past 18 years, Roland has been involved in credit and risk management for the financial and corporate sector.
